Jackson joins 100-100 club in win

NEW CONCORD, OH – Senior Jalen Jackson dished out four assists to eclipse the 100-assist barrier for his career, and the Wilmington College men's lacrosse team posted their first OAC win of the season, beating Muskingum, 11-7, in McConagha Stadium.

Jackson (Hilliard, OH/Bradley) now has more than 100 career goals and 100 career assists in his Wilmington career. The midfielder finished with one goal and four assists on the day.

He assisted on three of Wilmington's first four goals as the Fightin' Quakers raced out to a 4-0 lead. Jackson fed junior Chris Hein (McKinney, TX/McKinney) on the game's first goal with 11:01, and then found sophomore Jhordan Lang (Sunbury, OH/Big Walnut) with 7:56 left.

Senior Alexander Gossard (Galloway, OH/Hilliard Bradley) and sophomore Matt Dugan (Hilliard, OH/Davidson) combined on the third goal, and then Hein and Jackson hooked up again for the fourth goal.

Wilmington expanded its lead to 7-2 last in the second period, and eventually the lead grew to six goals at 11-5.

Lang finished with four goals and one assist, while Hein tallied three goals for the Fightin' Quakers. Junior Reid Delaney (Wooster, OH/Wooster) added two assists and one goal, while Gossard scored twice.

Junior Paul Koerbel (Maineville, OH/Kings) made 13 saves on 20 shots for pick up his first win in the pipes.

Wilmington (5-7 overall, 1-4 OAC) hosts Ohio Northern 7 p.m. Wednesday in the team's final home game of the season.
