BEXLEY – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team went scoreless for nearly two periods as the Fightin' Quakers lost to Capital, 20-8, Wednesday at Bernlohr Stadium in Ohio Athletic Conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Capital scored 11 straight goals spanning the end of the first period and the end of the third period to open up a lead.
- Junior Reid Delaney (Wooster, OH/Wooster) scored with one second remaining in the third period to end the Crusaders' run. He was the only Wilmington player with multiple goals.
- The Crusaders scored five goals in each period.
- Senior Jalen Jackson (Hilliard, OH/Bradley) snapped a four-game goalless streak, the longest of his career, with a second-period marker.
- Sophomore Jhordan Lang (Sunbury, OH/Big Walnut) finished with one goal and two assists for the Fightin' Quakers. It was the second time this season Lang dished out two goals in a contest.
- Junior Chris Hein (McKinney, TX/McKinney) and sophomore Matt Dugan (Hilliard, OH/Davidson) each had a goal and an assist.
- Junior Paul Koerbel, 0-4, (Maineville, OH/Kings) made 10 saves on 30 shots.
- Wilmington won just two of 30 face-offs in the game.

Wilmington (4-7 overall, 0-4 OAC) travels Muskingum 1 p.m. Saturday in OAC action.
