WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team opens the 2021 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament in Tiffin against second-seeded Heidelberg University on Tuesday evening. Tip-off from Seiberling Gymnasium is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Heidelberg. The Fightin' Quakers finished their 2020-21 season with a 3-9 overall record having most recently fell to Heidelberg in two single-digit games. The Student Princes finished their regular season 9-2, the best season since the 2008 campaign.

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt is in his 14th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. Andy Bucheit is in his eighth season as Heidelberg's head coach. The Student Princes finished with a .500 OAC record a season ago.

The Players: Jeffery Mansfield, a First Team All-OAC selection a season ago, leads Wilmington in scoring (18.0 points per game) as well as helping his teammates score to the tune of 5.8 assists per game. Bilal Sow averages 10.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while Noah Dado is the team's leading rebounder at 5.1 boards per contest. A trio of Student Princes – Dylan Woods, Emmanuel Perdue and Alex Arellano – all score in double figures. Woods, one of the top scorers in the OAC, averages just shy of 20 points per game.
