@DubC_XCTR women run at Dickinson

CARLISLE, PA - The Wilmington College Women's Cross Country team finished 13th out of nineteen teams in the Dickinson Long Short Invitational.

"I was really impressed with the improvement the girls have shown since the Heidelberg meet. They're a good bunch and come to practice every day looking to get better," said Wilmington's head coach Ron Combs. "I thought Brooke ran a great race as our number one, she doesn't have much experience from high school but it doesn't seem to bother her. She just goes out and competes in every race."

Finishing first for the Fightin' Quakers was Brooke Gibbons (Pleasant Plain, OH/Blanchester) with a time of 16:22.15, placing 48th overall. The next runner for the Fightin' Quakers, in 77th place, was Mary Krebs (Kettering, OH/Alter) with a time of 18:07.21. Following Krebs by nine seconds was Alexis Rhodes (Old Fort, OH/Old Fort) with a time of 18:16.07, placing 81st place overall.

The final two runners scoring for Wilmington were Stephanie Fetters (West Milton, OH/Milton-Union), who was 99th with a time of 18:55.86 and Julianna Simon (Covington, OH/Covington), who was 112th with a time of 20:14.45.

Wilmington returns to action 2:45 p.m. Friday in the 2015 All-Ohio Cross Country Championships, hosted by Cedarville University.
