HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Freshman Taylor McCuiston (Troy, OH/Miami East) finished with a career-high 10 kills on a career-high 46 attempts. Coming into the game, her previous career-high was 29 attempts against UC-Clermont.
  • Freshman Karley Schlensker (Fairfield, OH/Stephen T. Badin) added eight kills on 27 attacks.

COACHES CORNER

"Today, I thought we played our most complete volleyball match," said Wilmington head coach Tim O'Brien. "Taylor McCuiston had her best match of the year as well. Defensively, and in serve receive, we were aggressive – allowing us a lot of offensive opportunities. Along with Taylor, I thought Karley (Schlensker) had a nice game offensively as well. Struggling to execute down the stretch of each set was our downfall and ultimately the reason we lost. I'm very encouraged with today's match and I'm looking forward to game on Tuesday."

WHAT'S NEXT
