WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team continues its 2020-21 season with a pair of Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) games against Marietta College this weekend.

The Schedule: The Fightin' Quakers will travel to Ban Johnson Arena for a 7 p.m. contest on Friday before the two teams head to Fred Raizk Arena for a 6 p.m. game on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Marietta. The Quakers are an even 3-3 on the season having split all three series of the year. Coincidentally, Wilmington has won all three games on Friday and lost all three on Saturday. The Pioneers are 4-2 after a sweet of Muskingum University over the weekend.

The Coaches: Wilmington's interim head coach for the season, has been the program's top assistant coach for the last two years. She's also no stranger to the OAC, having graduated from Otterbein University and assisted at the University of Mount Union, as well as being familiar with an interim role having held that title at Earlham College. Kole Vivian has been Marietta's head coach for four years and, along with achieving a winning record all four years, took the Pioneers to their first NCAA Division III Tournament in 2017-18.

The Players: The Binkley twins – McKayla and Hannah – both score in double figures for Wilmington while Zahrya Bailey averages a shade under 10.0 points per game. McKayla Binkley, Haley Cook and Elise Carpenter grab over five boards per contest while Kennedy Lewis dishes out four assists per game. A quartet of Pioneers – Devin Hefner, Olivia Gribble, Erin Hahn and Bailee Brooks – all score in double figures while Hahn leads Marietta on the boards with 9.4 boards per game.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 70.0, Marietta 80.8; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 67.8, Marietta 71.4; field goal percentage – Wilmington 40.2, Marietta 40.1; three-point percentage – Wilmington 28.2, Marietta 35.0; free throw percentage – Wilmington 65.8, Marietta 76.3; rebounds per game – Wilmington 42.2, Marietta 45.6; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 0.71, Marietta 0.60.

Recent History: Wilmington is 34-7 against Marietta since joining the OAC prior to the 2000-01 season. The Quakers have won three of the last four meetings. More information can be viewed by visiting the link above.

1,000-Point Club: With a basket against Muskingum in late January, McKayla Binkley became the 14th member of Lady Quaker Basketball to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau for a career.

COVID-19 Precautions: The OAC Presidents made the difficult decision to not allow any fans at athletic contests until at least March 1.
