(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - The Wilmington College men's cross country team is sending off Simon Heys to his third consecutive NCAA Cross Country National Championships. The 2023 championships will be held in Newville, Pennsylvania, hosted by Dickinson College.

Heys has become accustomed to competing this late in the season, after a 15th-place finish in 2022 and a 5th-place finish in 2021 at the National Championships. This season, Heys has been on another level as the senior has gone undefeated against Division III competition to this point. He has finished first in five-of-six races this season, with a second place finish earlier in the season to a Division I athlete. After setting a new school record for himself last weekend, Heys came out of the race with the fastest time across all of DIII this season with a 23:46.7 finish.

The race will take place at 11:00 AM on November 18th; live results and video coverage will be provided.
