WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College Men's track and field team will head to Otterbein to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Championships, where they will finish their indoor competing season.  

The Schedule:  Pole Vault will lead off the field events at 11:00 A.M. while running events will start at 3:00 P.M. with the DMR.  

The Teams:  Wilmington will be facing off against the entire OAC conference.  

The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch:  The Quaker Men will be competing in multiple relays as well as individual events. The distance medley relay will consist of David Wahl, Tanner Creager, Eric Reynolds and Evan Whitaker, the 4x200-meter relay involving Wahl, Reynolds, Anthony Gilmore and Max Queen and lastly the 4x400-meter relay. On the field side of events, Chas O'Connell in pole vault, Joe Shuga, Nathan Marcum and Andrew Pacifico in weight throw and Blake Jamison and Shuga in shot put. Jumping for the Quakers will be Gilmore in high jump and Queen in triple jump and high jump. Sophomore Simon Heys will be featured in the 5000-meter run joined by teammates Noah Tobin and Ryan Honkomp. Whitaker will compete in the mile, followed by Aidan Henson in the 500-meter dash and Tyler Parks and Whitaker in the 1000-meter run shortly after. To cap off the day, Heys will compete in the 3000-meter run where he is ranked second in the event.
