(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's basketball team found themselves trailing 13-1 five minutes into their game Wednesday night in Hermann Court and were never able to recover in an 82-67 loss to Otterbein University. The duo of Rashid Chisholm and Matthew Dugue tied for a team-high of 17 points while Domenic Farley added 14 points as the Quakers shot 40.6% from the field. Wilmington drops to 8-12 overall this season and 4-9 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).

The Cardinals jumped all over Wilmington at the start of this one, taking a 24-8 advantage less than 10 minutes into the contest. The Quakers used the rest of the first half trying to dig themselves out of their early hole. They cut the lead down to nine points after an old fashioned three-point play by Domenic Farley made the score 38-29. However, the Cardinals would score one more basket before the end of the first half and take a 41-29 lead into the locker room.

The Cardinals shot 56.7% from the field during the first 20 minutes of action and knocked down five three pointers. Wilmington shot a respectable 44% but couldn't keep up with Otterbein's high-powered offense.

Wilmington used a pair of buckets from Carson Miles and Matthew Dugue to cut the lead to eight points at 41-33 early in the second half. However, the Cardinals got back on track and extended their lead back to 14 at 54-40. The lead would never dip below 10 points for the rest of the game as Otterbein took home the win.
