TIFFIN- The Wilmington College women's cross country team competed in and finished ninth at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championship Meet hosted by Heidelberg University on Saturday morning.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Allison Helmke (Defiance, OH/Tinora) led the way for the Fightin' Quakers, crossing the finish-line with a lifetime best time of 26:14.2 and earned 75th-place.
- She was backed by freshman McKenzie Hamm (Blanchester, OH/Blanchester) who clocked in with a time of 27:13.5 for 91st.
- Next to run in for the team were freshman Summer Doty (North Lewisburg, OH/Triad) who earned 94th with a time of 27:14.9 and sophomores Kayla Thornberry (McDermott, OH/Northwest) who clocked in at 28:19.6 to earn 104th and Kelly Rice (Whitehouse, OH/Anthony Wayne) who crossed the finish-line in 29:11.6 for 115th.
