@DubC_Volleyball drops a pair

RICHMOND, IN – The Wilmington College volleyball team lost a pair of games Saturday on the opening day of the Earlham Quaker Classic.

In their first game, the Fightin' Quakers fell to the University of Pikeville in straight sets, 25-21, 25-18, 25-14.

Junior Catlin Pauley (Kenton, OH/Riverdale) led the team with nine kills on 26 attempts, while sophomore Kennedy Harshaw (Xenia, OH/Xenia) tallied seven kills on 26 attempts and three service aces.

Senior Ariana Neff (Naples, FL/Gulf Coast) distributed a team-high 17 assists, with six digs and one service ace. Sophomore Becca Harting (Farmersville, OH/Valley View) finished with a team-high eight digs.

In the second match, Wilmington fell in four sets to Concordia Chicago, 25-12, 22-25, 25-20, 25-19.

Pauley finished with 14 kills on 46 attempts and three digs, while Harshaw had six kills on 35 attempts. Neff dished out 23 assists and a team-high nine digs.

Wilmington (0-6) returns to the court for a pair of matches, first against Berea and then against host Earlham.
