@DubC_Volleyball drops two in straight sets

BEREA, KY – The Wilmington College volleyball team lost a pair of non-conference games in straight sets Saturday. The Fightin' Quakers lost to St. Mary of the Woods, 25-19, 25-22, 25-16, and then fell to Berea, 25-12, 25-23, 25-16.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE

  • Sophomore Kennedy Harshaw (Xenia, OH/Xenia) led the team with 10 kills on 35 attempts and 10 errors, while freshman Rheanna McClain (Columbus, OH/Hamilton Township) finished with nine kills on 23 attempts and four errors.
  • Senior Ariana Neff (Naples, FL/Gulf Coast) distributed a team-high 20 assists.
  • Sophomore Becca Harting (Farmersville, OH/Valley View) finished with 14 digs, while Harshaw had eight digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO

  • Wilmington hit a match-high .158 in the second set with 10 kills on 38 attempts and a match-low four errors.
  • Harshaw finished with 13 kills on 36 attempts with three errors. It's the fifth time this season she finished with double-digit kills.
  • For the eighth time this season, Neff finished with at least assists – dishing out 24.
  • Harting recorded a team-high 16 digs, while Harshaw added 11 digs.

Wilmington (0-17 overall) returns home 7p.m. Saturday to play Ohio Northern in Ohio Athletic Conference action.
