WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team defeated the Maryville Scots 1-0 to remain a perfect 3-0 at home.
The Quakers were held scoreless in the first half despite shooting five times and twice on target. Several deep runs by both Alex Wilson and Jordan Snyder were turned away by the superb defense of the Scots.
Wilmington again seemed to be constantly attacking in the second half but were unable to break through. A late corner kick - taken in the 81st minute - led to some confusion on the part of Maryville. The ball found it's way to Ema Menges and she quickly sent the ball to the back of the net to give the Quakers a 1-0 lead.
- Alex Wilson took five shots and put two on goal
- Cloey Sattler is credited with the assist to Ema Menges
- Jordan Snyder took six shots and put three on goal
Wilmington will travel to Mt. St Joseph to face the Lions on Wednesday at 7:00.
