WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team concludes its 2020-21 regular season with a pair of games against Heidelberg University over the weekend.

The Schedule: The Fightin' Quakers will host the Student Princes for a 7 p.m. contest on Friday evening and travel to Tiffin for a 6 p.m. game on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Heidelberg. The Quakers are 4-6 on the season and looking to snap a three-game losing streak having fallen to Otterbein University in two games over the weekend. The Student Princes are 1-9 on the season and most recently lost a pair of games to Baldwin Wallace University.

The Coaches: Wilmington's interim head coach for the season, has been the program's top assistant coach for the last two years. She's also no stranger to the OAC, having graduated from Otterbein University and assisted at the University of Mount Union, as well as being familiar with an interim role having held that title at Earlham College. Rachel Ferri, formerly an assistant at Christopher Newport University, is in her first season as Heidelberg's head coach.

The Players: The Binkley sisters, McKayla and Hannah, both score in doubles figures for Wilmington. McKayla Binkley, who scores 15.0 points per game, is also the Quakers' leading rebounder at 6.2 boards per contest. Zahrya Bailey and Kennedy Lewis, both of whom score over eight points per game, combine to dish out over six assists per contest. Brooke Beamer is the lone Student Prince to average in double figures at 13.3 points per game. Bailey Walter grabs a team-best 5.8 boards per contest.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 70.7, Heidelberg 54.6; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 74.7, Heidelberg 78.5; field goal percentage – Wilmington 39.0, Heidelberg 34.6; three-point percentage – Wilmington 28.6, Heidelberg 31.3; free throw percentage – Wilmington 65.9, Heidelberg 67.4; rebounds per game – Wilmington 43.3, Heidelberg 36.4; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 0.71, Heidelberg 0.40.

Recent History: Wilmington is 38-7 against Heidelberg since becoming an NCAA Division III member in the early 1990s. Coincidentally, the home team has lost each of the last four meetings. More information can be viewed by visiting the link above.

1,000-Point Club: With a basket against Muskingum in late January, McKayla Binkley became the 14th member of Lady Quaker Basketball to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau for a career.

Senior Night: Friday's contest marks the final regular season home games in the careers of six seniors - McKayla Binkley, Brooke Davis, Ellen Nilback, Hannah Rickman, Hannah Binkley and Michelle Lee.

COVID-19 Precautions: The OAC Presidents made the difficult decision to not allow any fans at athletic contests until at least March 5.
