CINCINNATI – The Wilmington College football program was one of four teams represented today at the inaugural Cincinnati Area Football Media Day at the Holy Grail Banks.

Wilmington was joined by Thomas More, Mount St. Joseph and Cincinnati Christian at the media event that featured all four head coaches and a respective player from each institution.

"It exceeded my expectations," said Wilmington head coach Bryan Moore. "With it being the first year, I was a little bit nervous on what media will show up and how good the turnout will be – just the general surroundings. But it was an unbelievable location. It's pretty special here. When all of the media showed up, and it was a good crowd of people watching, it was a great atmosphere for the promotion of our program, and all the programs here. I don't know if you can find a better opportunity."

Senior PJ Meyer (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) presented the Fightin' Quakers on the stage. The receiver is coming off a tremendous season with a team-high 42 receptions for 621 yards. For his work on the field, Meyer was named honorable mention All-OAC.

The media tour is just beginning for Wilmington as Moore and senior quarterback Luke Creditt (Wilmington, OH/Waynesville) will represent the Fightin' Quakers at Thursday's Ohio Athletic Conference Media Day at the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton.

Wilmington kicks off its season 1:30 p.m. September 2, hosting Earlham in the Quaker Bowl.
