Hairston resigns as @DubC_Football head coach

Wilmington College's head football coach Stacey Hairston resigned Friday (Nov. 18) after four years of leading the Fightin' Quakers' gridiron program.

Dr. Terry Rupert, vice president for athletics administration and director of athletics, made the announcement after the coach met with his team.

"Stacey worked hard and made an impact upon our student-athletes that does not show in the won/loss column, and the College greatly appreciates his effort," Rupert said. "We wish him and his family the very best."

Rupert said a national search for Hairston's successor is commencing immediately.
