Hanna Edge Returns to Alma Mater as Assistant Athletic Trainer

Hanna Edge, a 2019 Wilmington College graduate, returns to her alma mater to serve as an assistant athletic trainer beginning in 2021-21. She will serve the athletic training needs of the women's soccer, wrestling and men's lacrosse programs as well as assisting Head Athletic Trainer Brian Dykhuizen with care of the rest of WC's athletics department.

"We are very excited to have Hanna join the athletic training clinical staff here at Wilmington College," Dykhuizen said. "Her addition will continue our pursuit of bringing the very best care to our student-athletes."

Edge comes to Wilmington from Marshall University where she served as primary athletic trainer for the Thundering Herd football & cheerleading as well as assisting with the volleyball & baseball programs. Additionally, she aided the athletic training office with other duties involving student-athlete care. While at Marshall, she earned a master's degree in sports adminstration.

Prior to Marshall, Edge, a native of Circleville, was a four-year member of the athletic training program as a student at the College. She assisted Dykhuizen as a senior athletic training student with the football program and interned at Moeller High School in Cincinnati working primarily with the Crusaders' rugby program. Edge was also a member of the Alpha Phi Kappa sorority all four years.

Edge begins her tenure at WC on August 2.
