Rupert Announces New Roles for Athletics Leadership

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Wilmington College Vice President of Athletic Administration & Director of Athletics Terry Rupert announced a couple of staff changes within the College's athletic leadership, beginning on July 1, 2021.

  • Stacey Conley will serve as the department's associate director of athletics and senior woman administrator
  • Micah Mills will add assistant director of athletics duties in addition to his role as associate head men's basketball coach
  • Beth Floyd, head softball coach, transitions to instructor of the coaching minor

"All three of these individuals have been valuable assets to our department and to Wilmington College," said Rupert. "We are looking forward to seeing each of them continuing to excel in their new roles."

Conley, a 2000 WC alumna, has worked within the athletics department since the 2016-17 academic year, taking over for Judy Doyle as the athletic business manager overseeing budgets as well as coordinating schedule of travel and booking of athletic facilities. She has been the department's assistant director of athletics over the past year.

Mills, who has been at WC for the last six years, has been Head Men's Basketball Coach K.C. Hunt's top assistant during that time. He spent his first three season as an assistant coach before being promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2018-19 season. That season, Mills helped guide the Fightin' Quakers to within a single game of the program's first-ever Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) regular season championship.

Floyd has served as Wilmington's softball coach since the 2008 and will remain in that role. Nine of her teams have achieved 10 or more victories with five Quakers garnering First Team All-OAC honors. Prior to Floyd's arrival, the Quakers had never had a First Team honoree in the OAC.
