Wrestling Picked Eighth In OAC Preseason Poll

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their 2023-24 OAC Dual Meet Preseason Poll this morning and Wilmington was picked to finish eighth with seven points.

The poll went as follows: Baldwin Wallace University (49, Seven first place votes), Ohio Northern University (43, One first place vote), John Carroll University (35), University of Mount Union (33), Heidelberg University (23), Otterbein University (21), Muskingum University (13), Wilmington College (7).

The Quakers return several wrestlers that competed last season, including junior Garrett Simmons, junior Caleb Tackett, sophomore Brayden Smith, senior Mo Sissoko, sophomore Alexander Ruth, and sophomore DeMarco Owens.

Wilmington opens their 2023-24 season on Saturday, November 11th at the Trine Invitational in Angola, Indiana. Their first dual of the season comes on Tuesday, November 14th when the Quakers host the Muskingum University Fighting Muskies in OAC action.
