BEREA, Ohio – The Wilmington College wrestling team finished 10th place at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational hosted by Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday.

Jaymon Flaugher was the one bright spot for Wilmington today as he took fifth in the 165-pound weight class. After losing his first match to Spencer Head of Mercyhurst Northeast, Flaugher won his next three, only to fall to conference rival, Benjamin Hooff of Baldwin Wallace. This setup a rematch with Head in the fifth-place match. This time around, Flaugher would come out strong and win by fall in 50 seconds, giving him the win and his highest career finish.

Five other Quakers competed in the invitational and not win a match - Zack Gutknecht (125-pound) via fall in 0:48 and decision 7-2, Adrian Salamone (141-pound) by technical fall 18-2 and major decision 15-2, Chris Beltre (149-pound) via fall in 3:26 and decision 7-6, and Clayton Schirmer (157-pound) via decision 9-2 and technical fall 22-3.

The Quakers return to the mat on Saturday, December 7th for the Ohio Northern University Invitational held in Ada, Ohio.
