TIFFIN, Ohio - Clayton Schirmer claimed an individual win in the 157-pound weight class, but Heidelberg University won all other flights to defeat the Wilmington College wrestling team in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) dual on Wednesday evening.

Tonight's dual started with a forfeit by Wilmington in the 133-pound weight class and two losses (141 and 149-pound weight classes) as Gabe Obregon would lose by a fall in 37 seconds and Chris Beltre would also lose by a fall (4:03), giving Heidelberg an 18-0 lead.

Clayton Schirmer, a Wilmington freshman from Blanchester, Ohio, gave the Fightin' Quakers a chance, winning by decision (9-5) in the 157-pound weight class.  He defeated Joseph Damm of Heidelberg to earn Wilmington its only three points of the duel.

Unfortunately, Brennen Greene would follow that up with a defeat via injury. A fall in the 174-pound weight class from Patrick Kelley (:55), and another fall by Bruno Pattison (5:26) in the 197-pound class followed.

Wilmington also gave up two more forfeits in the meet and a disqualification before the dual was completed.  The second overall forfeit came in the 184-pound class and the third overall came in the 125-pound weight class.

Heidelberg won the dual overall with a 54-3 score.

The Quakers return to action on Saturday, Nov. 16 for an all-day tournament at Trine University in Angola, Indiana.
