The Fightin' Quakers were named an All-Academic Team for carrying a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale, continuing the long-standing tradition of academic excellence within the program.
Wilmington College men's track & field sophomore Simon Heys placed 13th in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships on Thursday evening.
Simon Heys garnered All-Region honors in two events, the 5,000-meter run (at the OAC Elite Meet) and the 10,000-meter run (at the Sparky Adams Invitational). A trio of Quakers - Nate Marcum, Andrew Pacifico and Joe Shuga - finished in the top five in the region in the hammer throw.

Evan Whitaker and George Rickett started the day strong for the Quakers as they took fifth and sixth place in steeplechase at the OAC Championship Meet.
The men's team finished the regular season with a victory in Tiffin, Ohio. The team was led by the throws squad as they unleashed another gem of a performance.

Simon Heys broke the Wilmington College men’s track & field program record in the outdoor 5,000-meter run at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Elite Meet hosted by Otterbein University on Saturday.
Heys, the only Fightin' Quakers in the meet, crossed the final line in 29:54.93 to take third in the event. That mark is the first in program history to be under the 30-minute mark as Jim Cook held the previous record of 31:24.

To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-five individuals in their respective region on the final TFRRS Descending Order List. In addition, each member of a region's top-three relay team was also selected for distinction.
The Fightin' Quakers tallied 48 points as a team, finishing nearly 20 points clear of Marietta College, Capital University Baldwin Wallace University and Heidelberg University. The University of Mount Union won the championship with 217.5 points. The finish is the highest for the program in a decade.

The Wilmington College Men’s track & field team finishes off the indoor regular season with a second-place finish behind Muskingum University, followed by Marietta College and host Capital University. The Quakers scored two shy of triple digits and had multiple first place finishes on the day.
