Women's Soccer Places Three on OSCA Academic All-Ohio Teams

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team had three individuals earn Academic All-Ohio honors handed out by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OSCA).

Hanna Greaney garnered First Team Academic All-Ohio honors, Haley Brausch earned Second Team Academic All-Ohio recognition and Kaitlin Evans finished on the Academic All-Ohio Third Team.

"I am very excited and proud of these three young ladies," Head Women's Soccer Coach Steve Spirk said. "They are what we look for in our program: good students, good players and good people."

Greaney, who also earned Third Team All-Ohio, scored six goals including game-winners against Ohio Wesleyan University on Sept. 23 and Baldwin-Wallace University on Oct. 7. She was one of three Fightin' Quakers to record double-digit points in 2017.

Brausch started all 18 contests for the Wilmington defense while also chipping in six points offensively. The Clarksville, Ohio, native assisted two goals in a 5-0 victory over Earlham College in the Quaker Bowl rivalry on Sept. 13 and scored goals in wins over Manchester University and Ohio Christian University. Evans also started all 18 games for the Quakers scoring a goal against Manchester and assisting on another at Marietta College.

Wilmington finished the season with a 6-10-2 overall record and a 2-6-1 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play.
