Matthew Bosse enters his second year as an assistant swimming coach at Wilmington College for the 2020-21 academic year.

Alongside Head Coach Trip Breen, Bosse aided the Fightin' Quakers to 104 lifetime best performances at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships in 2020. Additionally, Isak Alin set an OAC record in the 200-yard breaststroke.

A native of New Windsor, New York, Bosse comes to Wilmington after four-year collegiate career at NCAA Division I Iona College. A four-time Metro Atlantic Conference finalist in the 100 and 200 backstroke, he holds several Gaels records including the 100 and 200 backstroke, 400 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay. Bosse was also a team captain as a senior and earned conference All-Academic Team honors all four years.

"I am very excited to be here at Wilmington College and for the opportunity to coach and learn under Trip Breen," Bosse said. The faculty, staff and students have all been welcoming and friendly and I am looking forward to my time here. The men's and women's teams have both achieved great accomplishments in the pool as well as in the classroom, and I look forward to helping our student-athletes build on their past success."

Along with his college experience, Bosse also coached at the Army West Point swim camp, taught youth lessons at Army West Point and assisted with numerous competitive swimming technique clinics.

Bosse graduated from Iona in 2019 with a degree in finance. He resides in Wilmington.
