Danny Thomas

Danny Thomas enters his second season as an assistnat baseball coach and recruiting coordinator for the Wilmington College baseball program in 2019.

Last season, he aided the Fightin' Quakers to an 11-win season, marking the first time in a decade that Wilmington achieved the double-digit win plateau.

Thomas came to Wilmington from Wright State University from Bellbrook High School where we served as an assistant baseball coach for the last four years. Along with providing the program with training, he also ran multiple baseball camps for students ranging from elementary school to high school.

Thomas also spent five seasons on the football coaching staff at Xenia High School.  He advised the head coach on game strategy, made sure the equipment and field were suitable for competition and ran youth camps.

A graduate of Wright State University, Thomas worked with the Raiders strength and conditioning program by; developing high performance programming of workouts for multiple sports that included delivery from warm up to cool down, comprehensive pre and post-training evaluations, injury risk assessment and prevention, and reporting on data analysis on student-athletes.

He graduated from Wright State in 2017 with a degree in sport science. He resides in Xenia, Ohio.
