The Schedule: See below:

  • Game No. 2 (Friday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.) - Calvin at Wilmington
  • Game No. 3 (Saturday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m.) - Calvin vs. DePauw
  • Game No. 4 (Saturday, Nov. 13 at 4 p.m.) - Alma at Wilmington

The Teams: Wilmington, Alma, Calvin and DePauw. The Fightin' Quakers enter the weekend with a 1-0 record having dispatched Mount St. Joseph University 77-49 on the road last Saturday. The Scots dropped their season-opener 72-65 at Oberlin College while the Knights (1-1) lost a 70-60 decision at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Tuesday. The classic marks the Tigers' season-opener.

The Coaches: Wilmington is under the direction of second-year Head Coach Janel Blankespoor, who is in her fourth season with the program having been interim coach during the 2020-21 season and the program's top assistant the two years prior. She's no stranger to the OAC having been a four-year player at Otterbein University and coached for three seasons as an assistant at the University of Mount Union. Sami Stormont is in her fifth season with Alma's program including her second as head coach while Mark Christner, a 1999 Calvin alumnus, is his third season leading the women's basketball program at his alma mater. Kris Huffman, who has led DePauw to two NCAA Division III Women's Basketball national championships, is set to begin her 27th season as the Tigers' head coach.

The Players: Wilmington features a balanced scoring attack as nine Quakers scored at least six points in WC's season-opening win at Mount St. Joseph. Kenzie Campbell was the lone individual to notch double figures in scoring at 10 points per game while senior Kennedy Lewis scored eight points, dished out six assists and grabbed nine rebounds. A trio of Scots - Maddie Robbins, Taylor Sas and Oretha Humphries - scored in double figures in Alma's season-opening loss at Oberlin. Gabby Timmer leads Calvin in scoring (23.5 points per game) and rebounding (15.0 boards per contest). Mya Shannon, DePauw's top scorer a season ago, looks to build up a season in which she averaged 14.0 points and 5.3 rebounds a game.

Recent History: Wilmington is 1-2 against Alma and 1-3 against Calvin since becoming an NCAA Division III member in the early 1990s. The Quakers have won the last 10 meetings. More information can be viewed by visiting the link above.
