WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team looks to return to winning ways this weekend with a two-game series against Otterbein University over the weekend.

The Schedule: Wilmington will host Otterbein for a 7 p.m. contest on Friday before traveling to the Rike Center for a 6 p.m. game on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein. The Fightin' Quakers stand at 2-6 on the season after a pair of losses, including one in overtime, to Marietta College. The Cardinals are 1-3 having split a series with Muskingum University last weekend with the road team winning both contests.

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt is in his 14th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. Andy Winters, formerly the top assistant at Capital University, is in his second year as Otterbein's head coach.

The Players: Jeffery Mansfield, a First Team All-OAC selection a season ago, leads Wilmington in scoring (18.8 points per game) as well as helping his teammates score to the tune of 5.9 assists per game.  Bilal Sow averages 10.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while Noah Dado is the team's leading rebounder at 6.0 boards per contest. Dallas Patrick has started all four games for the Cardinals and averages 23.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Reid Black averages close to a double-double with 11.0 points and 9.5 rebounds a contest.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 72.3, Otterbein 76.5, opponents' points per game – Wilmington 79.4, Otterbein 87.5 field goal percentage – Wilmington 45.1, Otterbein 44.7; three-point percentage – Wilmington 35.9, Otterbein 38.0; free throw percentage – Wilmington 68.3, Otterbein 72.8; rebounds per game – Wilmington 32.6, Otterbein 33.3; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 1.01, Otterbein, 0.9.

Recent History: Wilmington is 28-14 against Otterbein since becoming a member of NCAA Division III in the early 1990s. The Quakers have won the last 17 meetings. More information on the series history can be viewed by visiting the link above.

COVID-19 Precautions: The OAC Presidents made the difficult decision to not allow any fans at athletic contests until at least March 1.
