2016 Night Moves Invitational

Wilmington College will be hosting the first annual "Night Moves" Invitational at Beckett Track in Williams Stadium  4 p.m. Friday, April 22. (Schedule of Events) (Live Results)

TEAMS PARTICIPATING: Wilmington, Thomas More, Mount St. Joseph, Earlham, Cedarville, Muskingum, Huntington, Rio Grande, Wittenberg, Georgetown, BGSU Track Club, Lincoln Memorial

AWARDS:  "Night Moves" water bottles will be given to the top male and female competitors in each event, and to each member of each winning relay team.  The first place team for both the men and the women will receive a plaque.

MEET SCORING: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

ENTRY FEE: $200 per team or $400 for both the men & women.  You may pay in cash or check; make check payable to: Wilmington College.

ATHLETIC TRAINING: There will be a certified athletic trainer and student trainers on hand to assist with injuries & emergencies.

IMPLEMENT CERTIFICATION:   Will take place for all implements from 2:30-3:30pm near green storage building by the new turf practice field, just North of the throws area.

FACILITY: The track is an 8 lane polytan 300 surface (Re-coated summer 2014).  ¼" spikes are allowed.  Throwing circles are brushed concrete.  Javelin runway is on the grass.  Blocks will be provided-if you bring your own please make sure they have ¼" spikes in them. We have new Richey pits for the PV and HJ and we have a new Hammer cage.

TIMING:  Fully Automatic Timing will be used courtesy of www.finishtiming.com.  We will have wind gauges at the LJ + TJ, and on the sprint straight.

OPENING HEIGHTS: Women's HJ=4'6", Men's HJ=5'6", Women's PV=7', Men's PV=10' (We can go lower if we need to)

RULES:  NCAA scoring for all running finals will be based on the top eight times.  All field events will allow 3 attempts per athlete with the top 9 moving to finals for 3 additional attempts, with the exception of the pole vault and high jump.
