Bolen wins shot put at Centre

DANVILLE, KY – Sophomore Marissa Bolen recorded the only event victory as the Wilmington College women's track & field team finished eighth of 15 teams at the Centre College twilight meet.

Bolen won the shot put with a distance of 40-10.50.

Junior Sarah Murphy (West Liberty, OH/West Liberty Salem) scored in both the hurdle events. She was fourth in the 400 hurdles (1:08.88) and sixth in the 100 hurdles (16.20). Murphy was joined by junior Victoria Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond), sophomore Kelsie Redway (Toledo, OH/Whitmer) and freshman Angela Dorsett (Pittsburgh, PA/West Mifflin) to finish third in the 4x400 relay (4:21.88).

Junior Tricia Steffen rounded out the Wilmington scoring with an eighth-place finish in the 1500 (5:06.41).

Wilmington returns to the track Friday to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference outdoor championship.
