Two records for Bolen

ALLIANCE – Sophomore Marissa Bolen set two new school records as the Wilmington College women's track & field team finished ninth of 10 teams in the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.

"I was really pleased with the effort from both teams all weekend," said Wilmington head coach Ron Combs. "I thought the kids preserved all season long. We are looking forward to outdoor and continuing to move up in the conference outdoors."

Bolen (Gibsonburg, OH/Gibsonburg) finished fourth in the shot put with a toss of 42'10.75, breaking a mark set in 2006. He added a school record in the weight throw with a toss of 45'1.5".

Sophomore Jadie Riewoldt (Morrow, OH/Little Miami) tied a season-best jump in the high jump, finishing fourth (5.25). Junior Tricia Steffen (Baltimore, OH/Liberty Union) finished sixth in the 5000 (18:59.04), while several events posted season best results.

The quartet of Sarah Murphy (West Liberty, OH/West Liberty Salem), Angela Dorsett (Pittsburgh, PA/West Mifflin), Kelsey Redway (Toledo, OH/Whitmer) and Hannah Rolf (Springfield, OH/Northeastern) establish new personal times in the 4x200 and 4x400.

The Fightin' Quakers concluded the indoor season and will kick off the outdoor season on March 29.
