Junior Evan Schlagetter scored twice Tuesday, but the Wilmington College men's soccer team fell to Thomas More, 4-2, in non-conference action at Charlie Gilhart Field.

Thomas More took control of the game by scoring six minutes into the second half, breaking a 1-1 tie. The Saints added goals in the 59th minute and again in the 69th minute to open up a three-goal bulge.

Schlagetter (Sidney, OH/Sidney) scored the game's final goal as sophomore Nick Toney (Morrow, OH/Little Miami) delivered a nice feed that the junior midfielder was able to push past the goalkeeper.

Wilmington fell behind early as TMC used a corner kick to score less than three minutes in. It was the game's first corner kick. It didn't take the Fightin' Quaker long to find the equalizer as Schlagetter netted his first tally in the game's 20th minute.

The shot total was relatively even as WC outshot Thomas More, 15-14, but the Saints were able to gain the edge in shots on goal, 8-6.

Wilmington (3-7-1) kicks off Ohio Athletic Conference action 7 p.m. Saturday at Muskingum.
