AUSTINTOWN – For the second time this season, and the fifth time in his career, senior Malcolm Heard has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced.

Heard (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington) recorded his fourth and fifth double-doubles this season, and averaged 30 points and 10 rebounds as Wilmington went 1-1 for the week.

"Malcolm was a beast last week," said Wilmington head coach K.C. Hunt. "He has had a fantastic month of January and is competing and playing at a very high level."

He scored 28 points with 10 rebounds in WC's victory over Ohio Northern, and then added 32 points and 10 rebounds in the last second loss to Marietta.

Wilmington (10-6 overall, 7-3 OAC) travels to Muskingum 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
