Men's Basketball game suspended

CINCINNATI - Poor floor condition caused the Wilmington men's basketball game with Transylvania Sunday at the College of Mount St. Joseph to be suspended.

"We will continue this game," said head coach K.C. Hunt. "(Transylvania) Coach (Brian) Lane and myself will look for a time and neutral court that fits in our schedule. Win, loss, or draw, we want to complete this game."

Wilmington was leading 34-32 at halftime when both teams decided the playing surface was unplayable and "dangerous".

Senior Malcolm Heard II (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington) was leading the Quakers with nine points and four rebounds, while senior Ben McGriff (Beavercreek, OH/Beavercreek) added seven points.

Junior R.J. Leppert (Liberty Township, OH/Lakota East) had a team-high six boards, and senior Klarke Ransome (Richwood, OH/North Union) dished out a team-high four assists.

Wilmington (0-1) returns to the hardwood 3 p.m. Saturday at Division I Miami.
