For the fourth and final time in the regular season, the Wilmington men's basketball team has a chance to avenge an earlier regular season loss. In the previous three attempts, the Quakers have been victorious in one of the meetings. The lone victory was a 76-59 win over Heidelberg.

Juniors Kyle Payne and Kevin Krakowiak combined for 41 points in Baldwin-Wallace's 71-57 win in the first meeting the season. The victory seemed to have righted the Yellow Jackets' ship as they have won 12 of the last 13 games. The pair is combining for 31.7 points to lead BW on the season.

Baldwin-Wallace is fourth in the lead in scoring with 75.7 points per game and is second in the league with a +7.3 scoring margin.

For a team that is ineligible for the postseason tournament, a regular season championship is well in reach for BW. Baldwin-Wallace, with a 10-3 conference record, is one game behind Capital and Marietta for the best record in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Junior Malcolm Heard II (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington) is averaging 21.3 points per game over the last three contests, and has reached the 20-point plateau in all three games. He was 2-of-10 from the field for 11 points in the first meeting with the Yellow Jackets.

The first BW game is also the only time this season leading scorer Brandon Candella (West Chester, OH/Lakota West) failed to reached double figures. Candella, who is averaging 15.6 points per game, needs to eight points to become the 24th player in school history to score 1,000 points.

With five games remaining in the regular season, the chances of earning a double bye in the OAC tournament seems almost out of reach for the Fightin' Quakers. However, earning a bye into the quarterfinals in well within reach. WC holds a one-game lead over Mount Union and a two-game bulge for a bye over Ohio Northern.
