Jake Harmon enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Wilmington College football program in 2020. He will serve as the program's special teams coordinator as well working with running backs and being the director of community engagement.

Harmon comes to Wilmington from Bluffton University, his alma mater, where he served as as assistant coach for the previous three seasons. He spent the 2018 and 2019 season working with the Beavers' defensive line and the season before that as linebackers coach. Harmon had multiple duties as a coach at Bluffton including, but not limited to: junior varsity head coach, punt/kickoff preparation, coordination of the scout team, video input and opponent scout and strength & conditioning coordinator. He coached two-time Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Defensive Player of the Year Isaac Zickafoose along with three other All-HCAC honorees.

A four-year lettermen at linebacker, Harmon was a First Team All-HCAC selection along with being a captain his senior year. He graduated with a degree in middle school education and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in educational leadership, also from Bluffton.

Harmon resides in Wilmington.
