Cleaver named All-OAC

AUSTINTOWN – Junior Clay Cleaver has earned all-conference honors, the Ohio Athletic Conference announced today (Monday, May 11, 2015).

Cleaver (Pleasant Plain, OH/Little Miami), who was at least tied for the team lead in four offensive categories, earned honorable mention distinction.

"This is a very deserving award for a Quaker baseball player who played hard and smart for three seasons," said Wilmington head coach Dan Cleaver. "Having the coaches in our conference recognize Clay's personal accomplishments on the baseball field is an important finish to a fine Wilmington College baseball career."

He drove in 21 RBI with 14 stolen bases and three triples to lead the team, and was tied for the team-lead with seven doubles. His .298 batting average and .411 slugging percentage were second on the team, and he was tied for second with 14 runs scored.

Wilmington finished the season 3-35 overall and 0-18 in the OAC.
