Arehart named Academic All-District

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and Capital One has honored junior baseball player Brandon Arehart for his academic achievements and prowess.

Arehart (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington) was named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District baseball team today (May 3, 2013). He is now eligible for the National ballot. He is the second Wilmington College player to earn the award this season as senior men's basketball player Brandon Candella earned the honor.

The team is selected by CoSIDA members in their respective districts. Capital One has been the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams program since 2011.

A Biology major with a 3.98 grade point average, Arehart has played multiple positions for the Quakers this season. He is second on the team with a .317 batting average with 16 RBI, 19 runs scored and four doubles.

Wilmington (5-30) wraps up the 2013 season today with a doubleheader at #9 Marietta.
