CINCINNATI – The Wilmington College volleyball team lost in straight sets Friday to Berea, 25-18, 26-24, 25-16, in the first game of the Mount St. Joseph Invitational at the Harrington Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman Amber Rox (Lawrenceburg, IN/Lawrenceburg) led the team with 10 kills and 49 attempts.
- Senior Kara Short (Conover, OH/Fairlawn) and junior Kennedy Harshaw (Yellow Springs, OH/Xenia) each added six kills.
- Freshman Alyssa McKenzie (Adrian, MI/Adrian) continues to pace the offense, distributing a team-high 18 assists.
- Junior Becca Harting (Farmersville, OH/Valley View) had her second straight game with at least 15 digs, finishing with 19.
- Freshman Shelby Wright (Ashland, KY/Boyd County) and McKenzie each recorded two service aces.
