Bolen, Payne score for @DubC_XCTR women

CEDARVILLE – The Wilmington College women's track and field team placed seventh at the 10-team Cedarville Collegiate Invitational Friday (February 5, 2015).

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Senior Marissa Bolen (Gibsonburg, OH/Gibsonburg) continues her impressive final indoor season. She placed third in both the weight throw (13.57) and the shot put (12.08). Bolen is currently 11th nationally in the shot put.
  • The only other Wilmington athlete to score was freshman Brooklyn Payne (Chicago, IL/Chicago Agricultural School). She played seventh in the 200 (28.26).

  • "I thought both teams did a good job tonight," said Wilmington head coach Ron Combs. "We are getting better every week, but we need everyone healthy. Right now our goal is to get everyone back 100 percent."

  • Wilmington travels to Westerville for the All-Ohio Indoor Championships Noon Saturday.
