Men's Lacrosse Falls to Ohio Northern in Monday Evening Contest

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team faced the Ohio Northern Polar Bears on Monday night in order to make up last week's weather delayed game on Monday evening. Ohio Northern won by a final score of 25-1.

The Polar Bears got out to a hot start on Monday night when Andrew Caliri got the scoring started in the first minute of the game, Caliri would add two more goals in the match. Colin Willits made his presence felt in the second quarter as he added four goals in the frame. Ohio Northern would end the first half with a 15-0 lead. 

Garrett Murrell scored the lone Quaker goal of the evening on an unassisted shot early in the second half. The Quakers would ultimately fall to the Polar Bears by a final score of 25-1.

The turnover battle was fairly even with the slight edge to Ohio Northern at 28-20. Wilmington had its most productive offensive quarter in the fourth as they played roughly even in terms of shots, Ohio Northern outshot the Quakers in the fourth 9-5. 

Up next, the Quakers will face Anderson University at a neutral site, Earlham College, Wednesday at 6 p.m.
