Women's XC finishes 13th at All-Ohio

CEDARVILLE – The Wilmington College women's cross country team finished 13th of 20 teams as the Fightin' Quakers competed in the All-Ohio Championships. The women's team finished seventh of 10 Ohio Athletic Conference schools.

"It was great to get a chance to run against all the other D3 schools and see where we stack up," said Wilmington head coach Ron Combs. "I was especially interested to compete with all the OAC schools. I thought the meet showed us we are a better team than we were last year on the girls side and we are close to where we were last year on the guys side. I am excited to see how we can improve in the next month before OAC's."

Senior Tricia Steffen (Baltimore, OH/Liberty Union) continues to lead the team as the first harrier to complete the 6K course. She ran the course in the time of 24:08.98.

The next three runners completed the course within 15 seconds of each other. Freshman Christina Paskow (Felicity, OH/Felicity-Franklin) was the second runner, finishing with a time of 25:28.42. Freshman Kylie Watson (Georgetown, OH/Georgetown) was next to finish with a time of 25:32.72, followed by senior Veronica Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond), who finished with the time of 25:42.85.
