WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College softball team is scheduled to play four games over two days this weekend.

The Schedule: The Quakers will travel to Ohio Wesleyan University for a twinbill beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday and host Albion College (Michigan) for a two-game series at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

The Teams: Wilmington, Ohio Wesleyan (OWU) and Albion. The Quakers enter the weekend with a 9-5 overall record having split a home-opening twinbill with Bluffton University on Wednesday. The Battling Bishops are 4-6 on the season having played all 10 of their games in Clermont, Florida. The Britons are 7-6 on the year having most recently fallen to Heidelberg University on Monday. Game two of the series was suspended due to rain with the Student Princes leading 11-0.

The Coaches: Beth Floyd is in her 16th season as Wilmington's softball head coach. The winningest softball coach in school history, she also heads the College's coaching minor. Floyd has led the Quakers to the program's first winning season with a 20-16 record in 2013. Cassie Cunningham, a Capital University alumnus, is in her 17th season as OWU's head coach while Leigh Ann LaFave, formerly the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Pitcher of the Year, has been the Britons' head coach since the 2016 season.

The Hitters: The top of Wilmington's lineup has delivered and in a big way as Judaea Wilson, Lindsey Carter and Logann Julian alll boast batting averages over .430 with Wilson leading the way at an astounding .544 clip. The Rutherford B. Hayes High School alumna leads the Quakers in in hits (31) and runs scored (19) while Julian has a team-best 17 RBIs. Rylie Moore has a .357 batting average and 10 hits for OWU while Parker DOuglass and Courtney Ellis both hit over .300 for Albion.

The Pitchers: Three Wilmington pitchers - Alexis Stringfellow, Izzy Rothrock and Avree Entler - have pitched at least 20 innings while Stringfellow's 2.20 ERA and 28.2 innings leading the way. Rothrock has struck out 21 batters and is one of two Quakers, joined by Entler, to tally a save. Katie Chittum has hurled 30.2 innings and carries a 3.65 ERA for the Bishops while Ashley Pion boasts a 1.01 ERA with 68 strikeouts in 48.1 innings for the Britons.
