Tristen Durr

After four years as an assistant coach, Tristen Durr was named Wilmington College's head track & field coach on June 20, 2023. He will remain an assistant with the men's and women's cross country teams.

Over the last four years, Durr has elevated the WC throws squad to the best in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) and one of the best in the Great Lakes Region as well as NCAA Division III. Five Quakers have qualified for the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships (indoor & outdoor combined) including his brother, JJ Durr, and Nathan Borgan earning All-American honors at the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. At that meet, Durr helped guide WC to a ninth-place finish, the highest in program history.

Prior to Wilmington, Durr was a two-time All-American in the hammer throw at Tiffin University. Durr placed placed eighth at the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championship in the event and holds Tiffin's school record of 212' 6". Durr was also the 2017 OAC Champion in the hammer throw while attending Heidelberg University.

Durr’s list of accomplishments also includes being named All-Region four times, two-time All-OAC honoree, two-time ALL-GMAC and being an All-Ohio Champion in the Hammer Throw.
