Multiple PRs set in Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, IN – The Wilmington College track and field team competed in the non-scored Billy Hayes Invitational this weekend on the campus of Indiana University.

Senior Jake Sydnor (Owensville, OH/Clermont Northeastern) was the highest placing Quaker, placing third in the 400 (48.40). It moved him to 28th nationally, leaving him on the cusp of earning a berth in the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Senior Sarah Murphy (West Liberty, OH/West Liberty Salem) was fourth in both the 100 and 400 hurdles. She finished the 100 hurdles in 15.12 and the 400 hurdles in 1:08.16.

Sophomore Lauren Stacy (Bethel, OH/Western Brown) set a personal record in the discus, placing fourth (40.53). Freshman Megan Darst (Grove City, OH/Grove City) established a new PR in the javelin (26.39), and freshman Eleanor Wildey (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) had a PR in the discus (36.51).

Other PRs were senior Veronica Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) in the 800 (2:29.54) and sophomore Dominic King (Bettsville, OH/Bettsville) in the 1500 (4:23.17).
