The Wilmington College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) named women's basketball player Savannah Hooper as its Player of the Week, for the period ending January 22, 2017.
Hooper (Leesburg, OH/Wilmington) was a critical part of overcoming point deficits in both of the week's games. In Wednesday's win against Otterbein, she scored three, consecutive three-pointers to help WC gain distance from Otterbein. In Saturday's game, she scored 11 of her career-high 17 points in the fourth quarter to help the Fightin' Quakers pull away from Heidelberg.
In recognition of her accomplishments, she will receive a T-shirt from SAAC, and her photo and list of accomplishments will be displayed in Hermann Court.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight about the student-athlete experience. SAAC protects student-athlete interests and provides a positive image of student-athletes.
