The Wilmington College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) named men's cross country freshman Evan Whitaker as its player of the week for events played from Oct. 8-14.

Whitaker was the top Fightin' Quaker finisher at the JennaStrong Invitational on Friday. He recorded the fastest time for a freshman in program history.

Wilmington has a week off to prepare for the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships on Oct. 27.
