The Wilmington College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) named women's soccer senior Alex Vestal as its player of the week for events played from Sept. 17-23.

Vestal scored the only goal in the Fightin' Quakers 1-0 triumph over Heidelberg University in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) opener on Saturday. She got the ball on her left foot and fired a 30-yard strike over the Student Princes' goalkeeper for the game-winning 

The women's soccer team sits at 7-2-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the OAC. Wilmington takes its five-game winning streak into next week where OAC contests vs. Muskingum University at at the University of Mount Union await.
