The Wilmington College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee named men's cross country runner Alek Erwin as its Player of the Week, for the week ending October 20.

Erwin (South Vienna, OH/Northeastern) finished the 8K course in 25:25.34, breaking the previous school record held by Pat Carroll by less than a second.

In recognition of his accomplishments, he will receive a T-shirt from SAAC, and his photo and list of accomplishments will be displayed in the lobby of Hermann Court.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight about the student-athlete experience. SAAC protects student-athlete interests and provides a positive image of student-athletes.
