Hughes and Rhodes Represent Women's Cross Country at NCAA Regionals

SHELBYVILLE, Indiana – The Wilmington College women's cross country team competed at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional hosted by Franklin College on Saturday morning.

A pair of freshman, Katie Hughes and Savannah Rhodes, represented the Fightin' Quakers contingent competing in the event. Rhodes, a Blanchester High School alumna, ran the six-kilometer course in 24:45.8 and a 135th-place finish. Hughes, a Clinton Massie High School graduate, finished in 142nd place with a time of 24:59.3.

Claire Lamb of Otterbein University won the regional title individually with a time of 20:58.7, beating the entire field by over 13 seconds. Baldwin Wallace University won the team regional title with 114 points.
