WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team heads to Ohio Northern University for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest on Wednesday. Tip-off from the ONU Sports Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Ohio Northern (ONU). The Quakers enter the game with a 5-2 overall recording, but looking to rebound after an 67-58 defeat at No. 10 Baldwin Wallace University to open the OAC slate. The Polar Bears are 5-1 and defeated Marietta College 54-43 in their OAC opener at home on Saturday.

The Coaches: Wilmington is under the direction of third-year Head Coach Janel Blankespoor, who is in her fourth season with the program having been interim coach during the 2020-21 season and the program's top assistant the two years prior. The 2007 Otterbein College alumna spent stints at Mount Union and Earlham College before coming to Wilmington. Mark Huelsman is in his third season as ONU's head coach. He previously spent seven seasons as an assistant coach with the Polar Bear program and several as an assistant at WC.

The Players: Senior point guard Kennedy Lewis leads Wilmington in scoring at 12.6 points per game while also dishing out 3.3 assists and being one of two Quakers to grab over five rebounds a contest. The other, Marisa Seiler, is second on the squad in scoring at 7.9 points per contest is is joined by Zahrya Bailey and Kyria Walker to score over a half-dozen points per game. A trio of Polar Bears - Brynn Serbin, Kristen Luersman and Brooke Allen - score between 10-14 points per game. Serbin also averages 7.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists per contest while Luersman grabs a team-best 9.3 boards per contest.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 60.7, ONU 60.5; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 57.3, ONU 51.2; field goal percentage – Wilmington 34.0, ONU 41.0; three-point percentage – Wilmington 22.7, ONU 26.6; free throw percentage – Wilmington 80.8, ONU 76.9; rebounding margin – Wilmington +3.6, ONU +14.7; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 0.69, ONU 0.69.
